Kate Rockwood

Kate grew up on Long Island and graduated from SUNY Old Westbury after beginning her college career at La Salle University as a journalism major. While she didn’t end up working in journalism, she never stopped observing people or writing about them.

She has a talent for reading a room, spotting awkward social dynamics from a mile away, and making mental notes about strangers that probably belong in a notebook somewhere.

Kate appreciates sarcasm, puns, people-watching, and conversations that are just slightly inappropriate. In her spare time, she can be found practicing questionable Russian accents and drinking dark beers with her husband.

She writes about life, work, ambition, relationships, growing up, growing older, and whatever else happens to be taking up space in her head that week.

  1. Read your article on Elite Daily about being an outcast at work. Being socially awkward who suffer from depression I was searching Google on topics about being an outcast. Just wanted to comment that hope you are doing better in life than when you wrote the peice.
